Our adoptions begin with the completion and submission of an Adoption Application.  Completion of an application does not commit you to an adoption, but does start the process.  Be sure to fill in the application completely to avoid processing delays.  We do process applications in the order in which they are received, but we reserve the right to select the family that is the best suited for each particular dog disposition and needs.  We will check your references, contact your vets and phone or email you for an appointment to check your fence.  We do require a secure fenced yard and do not accept electric fences as secure. 
PLEASE, take time to walk your fence line before someone comes to do your home visit/fence check.  Check the height from the ground up in the lowest area, check for gaps at the ground, between posts that meet, posts at the house or other buildings, gaps around the gates, and under them.  Look for broken, loose or missing pickets, and wood or brush piles against the fence. 
Most fence issues are easily resolved, so please take the time to beef up areas of your fence you find that are not secure.  This will help get your application approved without delays.
