Meet Zahra, a six year old female that recently came into rescue, leaving her days as a breeding dog behind her.  She is a shy tail wagger, who is slowly learning that people can be trusted (especially when they have yummy treats!)

Crate trained, she is learning housetraining with timed outings.  Zahra is also learning to walk on a leash.  She loves playing with other dogs and was not overly curious when introduced to the clinic cat at our vet's office.  She weighs 24 lbs.

Zahra has been spayed, brought up to date on vaccinations, and has had a dental cleaning.  She is now ready for a new home.

Her new home must be quiet with no small children.  She would do best with a confident canine playmate.

Zahra will follow her foster Mom around the house, but will run away from her when Mom tries to pet her.  Her new home will need a patient owner, with experience handling shy dogs.

Zahra will be placed locally in the Kansas City area since she is a flight risk.
