Birdy is a Collie mix (Husky/Australian Shepherd?). She just turned 2 years old, gets along well with other dogs and is potty/house trained. This sweet and happy girl is about 48 pounds and would do well in an active home with another dog or dogs. She needs leash training and obedience training is also highly recommended as she needs to learn recall/come commands. Beware, in her foster home we found out that she is a counter-surfer so that training is necessary! She just needs direction as to what the command “No” means. Birdy was a stray, so foster parents do not know much about her history. It is unknown how she is around children and cats but she was good with foster mom’s 3 year old granddaughter. She is a quick learner with training. Birdy does well with brushing out, bathing and grooming. Hopefully her coat will fill in and she will gain some weight! Birdy is up to date on all her vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. Kansas City area adoption only due to the fact that she was a stray and needs to stay local. Fenced yard required.
