Look at me! My name is Pepper. My foster parents call me Pip (or more often- “No”)! I am a playful and happy 19-month-old Collie. If you want a dog that is full of energy and is ready for fun, I am the pup for you. My foster parents say that I need training for house manners (barking, counter surfing and separation anxiety). I do not like being in a crate so I would want my new human(s) to train me so I can be allowed to roam freely while my owner(s) are away for extended period of time. I know how to sit and am gentle with treats. Running and romping with my Collie and Sheltie friends in my foster home is my favorite thing to do. My foster mom says I would have to go a home without children under 12 years old. My previous home was not a good environment for me with young kids. I love people, just not little ones! I am a sleek 44-pound girl that runs like a rabbit! Someone with patience while I learn basic training would be the best for me. I would love to go on walks (or runs) with my svelte, lanky legs. My foster mom suspects that I am more from a working line of Collies that tend to be more active and driven than many we are used to. My vaccinations are all up to date and am heartworm negative. I have also been spayed and microchipped. Fenced yard is required and KC area adoption only. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at kcsheltierescue.org.
