Alli is a very sweet girl and very shy at first and she will take some time to warm up to you. She is somewhat of a loner at first and does all right with other dogs. Would do best around older children. She soaks up all the love and attention you can give her. Currently she does not appear to be big on toys though that could change with some one on one attention. She does love to chew and enjoys a soft chew bone and the occasional treat chews that seems to disappear in a matter of seconds.

Alli does not like the Kennel and has ground her front teeth down from what appears to be long stays in a wire kennel and because of this, she has had to have Dental Surgery to remove the 13 damaged teeth. I am not certain how she would do in a soft side kennel. She does fine on a dog bed next to my bed since everyone else is in their own kennels knowing they will not be disturbed there. Alli on the other hand would like to cuddle up on the bed with you.

She walks well on leash, rides comfortably in the car. Enjoys a romp in the backyard and running up and down the fence with the neighbor’s dog. She also loves to chase squirrels. She has claimed the sofa, my bed when I am not looking and a place under the dining room chair when she wants to be alone.

Alli is very alert and she will let you know when she hears or sees something though, calms down quickly when acknowledged. She is a talker, which means she makes guttural noises and little growls when speaking and she is what I call a mouther… she likes using her mouth to play with you or love on you… she is learning not to do this. She knows ‘sit’ though I have yet to find out if she knows more commands and she is house trained. A training class would help bond the connection between you both.

Please come visit us at Petco (75th and Metcalf location)… 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 11am to 1pm. · If you believe adopting her would be a good fit for you then fill out an adoption form through this website… it doesn’t commit you though does get the process started.
