A SECURE FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED

Gwenie is a 7-year-old Sable Merle Collie.  She is crate trained and almost house broken.  She weighs 54 pounds.  She loves to play with her foster brother and needs to be in a home with other active dogs and one where she will be taken for walks.  She is very friendly and loves to give kisses.  She will come on command but would benefit from basic training.  She enjoys her quiet time and but also spends time with her foster family when encouraged.  She has a playful personality which we are really starting to see.  Her favorite treats are peanut butter and cheese.  She has recently decided that she does not like to sleep in the kennel but wants to be close to her foster family.  She sleeps comfortably on the floor with blankets.  She also enjoys being outside but when it’s time to go potty you have to make sure she actually goes.  She only barks when she wants out of her kennel to go potty.  Gwenie likes to drink out of the toilet, so you might want to keep the lid closed.  She enjoys car rides and will either lay down or get your attention by licking your ears.  She does not like loud noises or sudden movement and will pace at times, so would not do well in a household with young or loud children.  She is just a real joy to be around and after some adjustment time, will be an excellent addition to an active home.
